Riverwalk School

Admissions

Admissions to Riverwalk School are made through the Local Authority.  A referral is made to the local authority by the current provision through annual review, or referral form if non-statutory school age.

The referral is processed by the local authority, who then consult with the school if deemed appropriate. For pupils who move into the area, a referral is made upon proof of residence to the local authority.

The school will consider all the information to ensure it is an appropriate referral. The school will then decide if the needs of the young person can be met within the provision.

Admissions may take place at any time during the year if places are available.  Once a place has been offered by the Local Authority and a final Education, Health & Care Plan is received, we will discuss ‘taster’ visits for your child. Please see information below on how to book a school visit.

School Visits:

If the local authority deems Riverwalk School as an appropriate placement, we will be happy to arrange for an informal chat and a tour around the school. Please contact our family support team to arrange a visit to the school at: 01284 764280 or email: info@riverwalk.suffolk.sch.uk
